Telly the TV is a throwback action/adventure platformer with a 1-bit style, similar to ZX Spectrum Games. This is a tribute to NES & Gameboy games of yesterday.

You Play as Telly, the living CRT television set, in a scavenger-hunt gone wild.  Telly’s been trapped in TV Kingdom by the evil Robo-Queen.  Telly’s only hope of surviving is navigating each television show, all while trying to locate five remote-control-keys to escape each episode. 

Enter six exciting and quirky worlds while bashing baddies and traversing terrible traps!  Collect items to save each TV program, and face-off with the enemies of TV Kingdom.

We've added mobile controls to the game for our Android release on the Amazon App Store and you can get an apk file of Telly the TV right here on itch.  

V 2.5.7 Now Live

It's been too long since we've been able to upload an update here to Itch.  GDevelop's code for Steamworks is very picky, since it is a community developed extension.  So we attempted to upload V 2.5.4 but Steam DRM was still attached.  We stripped out all of the issues and now the game should run perfectly.

• We've made a ton of optimization improvements to Telly the TV, and we've implemented Thumbstick Controls!
• Added an animation buffer to the entire game, stripped out all of the unnecessary game assets for the game
• Removed redundant mouse support for the menuing
• Added a pause menu options screen, to resume or quit the game
• Added a screen resize mode, in case you wanted to speedrun the game
• You'll notice Telly the TV running better than ever
• Game now runs NATIVE on MAC SILICON
• Fixed a bug where the player was getting damaged after interacting with the exit
