Telly the TV Officially Launched Today

Do not adjust your television set. What you are seeing is perfectly normal. . .  

Extra Mustard, est 2024, has just released our first full  game, “Telly the TV.”   It all started out as a simple two-color palette for pixel art hobbies, and morphed into a two year project. Our finished version of Telly the TV includes:

• Eight original songs - music produced with SAGA 16-Bit Yamaha 2620 Synthesizer 
• 15 challenging platforming stages with funny enemies and clever traps
• Three boss battles
• Gamepad support (PS4 and Xbox) 
• Simple controls ( easy to play with keyboard as well ).
• Relaxing 1-bit art style with a soothing hint of sepia
• Get into this side-scrolling game immediately, no tutorials, no instructions, no hand-holding. Just pure gaming fun.

We wanted to see more games in the world where you could just play, and enjoy, without fear of ever having your game taken away. We want our game to be tucked away in your drives forever, because it’s always nice to pull out your old NES carts after a few years.  We’ve attempted to recreate that feeling of pulling out your old consoles, within our game “Telly the TV.”  Even with a scaled back idea this game grew to a much larger scope than originally anticipated.  

What does the future hold for this game?  Windows 10/11 App Store, Steam, Google Play, and iOS.  We’d like to thank the team at GDevelop for creating an amazing, and accessible open-source game engine for all to enjoy.

It’s hard to describe the feeling after you’ve finished something you’ve been working on for two years, but it feels amazing. And we hope you will have an amazing time helping Telly escape the clutches of the Evil Robó-Queen.
